WHY
STUDY SPANISH IN CASTILLA LA MANCHA?
ONLY
SPANISH.
Several languages are spoken in Spain, and in Castilla – La
Mancha they only speak Spanish. Two languages are spoken in
other Autonomous Regions (Catalan and Spanish, Basque and
Spanish…), but in Castilla – La Mancha only Spanish is spoken.
You will probably be thinking, is it really important to only
speak Spanish?
Yes,
it is, very.
Every
year thousands and thousands of Spanish students come to study
Spanish in places where Spanish is only partly spoken:
People will speak to students in Spanish, but many conversations
in the street won’t be in Spanish. The student will try to
understand them and will not be able to, and they may think
that Spanish is very difficult.
The student will try to read and understand street signs,
announcements and indications. Some will be in two languages,
others will only be Spanish, and others will only be in another
language.
Here
you can see signs in an airport on the Mediterranean coast.
They are in three languages, and the last language is Spanish,
although to compensate for this it is in a different colour.
